Aight. So heres the deal, yo:
English; its great to know, its fun, and the people in the class are very awesome (Including Mrs. Gilman! She's BOMB.COM!)
So far as a part of my freshman year, i'm in this awesome english class; thats what i'm writing about. This class is a very welcoming class, i'm never scared or nervous to be a part of it; I feel quite loved, if i must. There are certain things about this class that make it outstanding from others i've been in. Using this blogging server makes everything so much easier, as most of us students probably spend a great amount of time on the totally necessary COMPUTER. The reading aloud in a "scripted" form is one of my favorite things about this class, as we all are a part of the discussion, we all know whats going on, and it gets us ahead in the book! I really love reading certain characters aloud or even just reading the book aloud, as i always enjoy putting lots of expression and try to "make the character be pictured in others minds". (Good luck with that, eh?) If you keep up on reading the assigned book for each due date, this class is going to be fine and never something you have to worry about. Even if your work ethic isnt even...... a work ethic, the reading is pretty easy and the intense parts of the book are awesome. The tests and quizzes are a bit difficult sometime for someone like me, who sometimes forgets that the little things matter a lot. (Even if your girlfriend pestures you about how the little things are most important!) The energetic, intense, exciting parts are quite a hit of mine, but I tend to forget more and more as the minutes pass by; this being an example of something that will improve throughout my year in english! A major necessity I need to succeed is the comprehension of books. I can't remember most of the things I read and forget; needing those for a quiz or something of that sort... I've been trying to figure out ways to get better at this but its a bit difficult, much. Okay, i'm talking about a bunch of junk thats not getting me extra points. Get back on track Regan!!!.... All right, so more about what I like about this english class is the teacher. Uh, I think her name is.... MRS. GILMAN!!!! She is by far, the BEST teacher I think i'll have throughout high school. I know I have about another thirty teachers to experience, but she's just amazing. She really teaches the stuff well but still makes it fun for us. She's helpful, tolerant of idiots, and funny. That's a definitely more than decent teacher right there, folks. Also, she has this weird container thing that says "ashes of bad students" or something like that, but its empty because like I said, she's tolerant of idiots! Maybe it belongs to Mr Curtis. I just don't know. But anyways, I also like how we organize notebooks that we call this awesome scientific smarty pants name "Journals". This makes finding our old assignments and keeping our current ones safe and organized quite easily; and it's just really awesome, I think. I feel bad for the Mrs. Gilman because she only has five minutes before her dreadful third period class to eat grub and drink some drank. Also, Mrs. Gilman is very smart as today she said to me "You and Jack are not going to be sitting together for very long". That made me sad but then, Jack and I are quite obnoxious together and we always talk about random things and make random noises and we say "Tickle Of" quite a bit. We also have weird words that mean certain things like "Of" means "Me" and "Ugh" is always included in our daily vocabulary. Well, my computer's battery is about to die, so I guess i'll just have to ditch this joint. I highly doubt i'll get any extra credit for this because I sound like parrot on speed, but yeah.
It was a pleasure talking with you.
Goodbye.
Sincerely,
Regan Westlund
